…are women who appreciate the level of commitment displayed by all Sigma Xi Theta members. Prospective members are those that aspire to serve, to be role models and to continue to better themselves, as well as others. Purity of character, high moral standards, and the ability to dispel the stereotypes that have been negatively attributed to dominant lesbians are qualities the Fraternity looks for to be present in our Prospects.

Prospects should be unafraid to proudly proclaim their identity and how they were meant to live. Individuals seeking membership for superficial reasons or selfish gains; those who feel superior or above anyone else would not do the Fraternity justice and is not worthy of our bond.

Prospects should understand that Sigma Xi Theta Fraternity is not interested in merely acquiring members. Focus on quality and conduct put forth in the community by membership is welcomed and appreciated. From this, we will demonstrate our bond and prove our validity.

Below is the list of minimum requirements that must be met in order to become a member of Sigma Xi Theta Fraternity.

You must:

• Be at least 21 years of age. {At the time of the Rite of Passage start date.}
• Be able to submit proof of a high school diploma/G.E.D, or higher.
• Be willing and able to travel to the pre-determined Rite of Passage completion site.
• Successfully complete the Sigma Xi Theta Rite of Passage .
• Be able to pay all applicable induction fees prior to arrival at the pre-determined Rite of Passage completion site.
• Live as a dominant lesbian (i.e. stud, butch, tomboi, AG, etc.) at all times.
• Submit two (2) letters of recommendation.
• Submit a completed Sigma Xi Theta Application.
