Sigma Xi Theta believes it is vital to be an active participant in the fight for equal rights. We have chosen to encourage others to be advocates for their civil liberties.
Through community involvement and partnership opportunities we can effect significant change in not just the legal view of the LGBT community, but within individuals.
PUMA Prowess
M.O.V.E. (Making our Visions Emanate) will create leaders and advocates in the LGBT community that will educate themselves and those wanting to seek knowledge. Given the complexity of the laws of federal, state and local government, and intricate regulations and policies governing the LGBT communities, it is understandable that many people require the assistance of advocates who have knowledge or special experiences to ensure that they have an opportunity to meaningfully participate in learning and changing those laws for the better.
M.O.V.E ( Making our visions emanate) is a program to inspire the members of Sigma Xi Theta to become advocates for the LGBT community. To become knowledgeable regarding LGBT legal rights and polices. And to share our wisdom and become educators in our communities.
M.O.V.E. will be a series of workshops, partnerships and political mobilization in support of LGBT legal rights and policies.
